NETWAY Product
consists of three major components:

Netway Tools
(hardware devices) - physical interface to vehicle protocols and I/O systems.

(software) - allows configuration of the tool, monitoring and
network analysis for Microsoft® Windows® platforms.

NetwayX Control
(Premium Library) - for custom user applications and controls of the
NETWAY Tools.
NETWAY Tools:
The
NETWAY Tools
is a powerful and flexible device that can be used for many communication based
tasks including but not limited to:

Multiplex network message processing, recording, and network traffic analysis.

Network real-time message analysis, data logging, and network violations capture with
on-board data recording and play-back functionality.

Multiple network and analog/PWM signals gateway (i.e. network translation) or linking
different networks together as a gateway.

Node or network real-time simulation and module simulation - e.g., "missing node",
companion node, or "rest of vehicle".
-
End-Of-Line testing of multiplexed modules and multiplexed vehicles.
NETWAY Tools
is adaptable to all leading communication protocols including:

- Standard 11-bit and extended 29-bit header (J1939),
optional physical layers for High-Speed Dual-Wire,
Single-Wire CAN (GMLAN) and Fault-Tolerance (DaimlerChrysler) CAN.
- First CAN channel can be combination of Hi-Speed and Single-Wire
(82C251 + AU5970) CAN protocols.
- Tool supports multi-frame CAN (ISO-15765) and new (J2534 and other) standards.
- Up to ten (10) independent CAN channels.

- Ford SCP (Standard or Enhanced) and GM/DaimlerChrysler Class2 (J1850).

| UART |
- ISO9141-II (KWP2000), ISO9141-Ford, UBP, AOS, LIN 2.0,

- Up to ten (10) independent UART support channels.

- IIC, SPI and other customer specific protocols.

All these channels are autonomous, and
NETWAY Tools
can be configured, through the
NETWAY
Application,
to interact with multiple channels/protocols simultaneously.
In addition, multiple
NETWAY Tools
devices can be connected to each other and function together.
These features will help speed-up testing in a production environment or for
vehicles on the road.
The
NETWAY 72 (Full)
and
NETWAY 72 (Mini)
devices (stand-alone boxes) can communicate with a PC through Serial and/or USB
communication ports;
However these devices are fully capable of functioning without a PC in
stand-alone mode.
Smart Engineering Tools, Inc. also manufactures a PXI and
PCI cards variations of the NETWAY Tools.
NETWAY 72 PXI and
NETWAY 72 PCI
plug-in card, communicates with for CompactPCI or Desktop PC respectively, via
an internal 32-bit bus backplane connector and with networks - via an external
44-pin I/O connector located on its front panel.

Application
and
NetwayX Control
Library:
NETWAY
Application
is designed to work with all popular programming packages and can support
applications ranging from simple test structures to full emulation of the
ECU's operating enviroment.
NetwayX Control
can help a user create application programs in a special network message
oriented Emulation Programming Language, which allows a Netway device to
transmit and receive messages, groups of messages, or perform request-report
analysis in just one line of code.
